There are two type of players:

Inviting a non-registered player to register:
You can initiate League Active to send an email to non-registered players inviting them to register. Once they have registered you can merge the non-registered player with their new registered account. (see the next section).
Note - A registered player's name, email address and telephone number cannot be edited by a club admin. Only the owner of a registered account can edit their own personal details.
Merging players:
It is possible that a player may end up with multiple registrations. Typically, this could occur if they have been entered as a non-registered player multiple times or they have been entered as a non-registered player and they then register.
To help manage this you can merge together 2 players, either 2 non-registered players, or a non-registered with a registered one. You cannot merge two registered player accounts as each will have an associated username and password.
When merging, the system will work out which player record to keep (always the registered account) and which to remove (always a non-registered record). Any team selections and scorecard entries for the player record being deleted will be reassigned to the player record being merged into. This helps avoid players ending up with multiple records and a splitting of their data across them.
Note the system identifies possible matches phonetically, i.e. the names should sound the name even if not spelt the name. If you want to force the system to match two accounts, edit one (a non-registered one) to have the same first and last name.
