The league was formed in 1899 for tennis clubs in Northumberland and Durham.
The Northumberland & Durham pop-up league is a temporary league for the summers of 2020 & 2021 to give willing players the chance to play some friendly but competitive tennis in the absence of the normal league season due to Corona virus.
